2024 Ford Bronco Release Date, Specs, Redesign

Posted on September 14, 2022

2024 Ford Bronco Release Date, Specs, Redesign – The 2024 Ford Bronco’s design evokes fond memories of the original model. It also boasts modern refinements that make it a pleasure to drive on the road while retaining its legendary off-road prowess. Ford’s off-road vehicle is so popular because of the breadth of its features. The Jeep Wrangler has long been the go-to SUV for those searching for genuine trail-eating cred, even if they have no intention of tackling a boulder-strewn two-track. The Bronco, however, is just as adaptable, thanks to its removable doors, convertible top, and two- and four-door body styles. While the interior’s sturdy materials and straightforward layout are reminiscent of the first-generation Bronco, the design starts to feel cheap when you move up to the higher trim levels. All Broncos are fitted with all-wheel drive and a turbo four or a twin-turbo V-6 engine. They both use a lot of gas and don’t have pleasant sounds, but they’re quick and responsive. The Sasquatch and Everglades packages, which add beefier tires and other improvements, help make the 2024 Bronco the ultimate off-road SUV, earning it a spot on our 10Best and Editors’ Choice lists.

Adding to the off-road capabilities of the Sasquatch package, the Everglades model joins the Bronco lineup for the 2024 model year. The Everglades is easily distinguished by its unique appearance, which includes an exceptional Desert Sand paint job, a snorkel air intake, a Warn winch capable of pulling up to 10,000 pounds, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires. But it’s only available with a four-door body and a turbo-four engine producing 300 horsepower. Unfortunately, the engine is incompatible with the seven-speed manual and only the ten-speed automatic transmission. Ford also offers a Hoss 3.0 package for the Wildtrak that includes beefier Fox adaptive dampers and other chassis upgrades for $2505. However, at this time, it is only available to those who have placed a reservation or an unscheduled order.

The 2024 Ford Bronco SUV will be an instant classic thanks to its throwback styling that honors the original Bronco while incorporating modern touches. In a nutshell, it’s sick-looking. LED headlights, a removable top and doors, and 16-inch silver-painted wheels with 255/70R16 all-season 30-inch tires come standard on the base model, while 17-inch black high-gloss wheels are available as an upgrade. 32-inch tires are the norm for Big Bend vehicles. In addition to the standard features, the Black Diamond Package includes full underbody bash plates, rock rails, and additional tow hooks. The First Edition and Wildtrak, at the upper end of the lineup, come standard with 17-inch wheels and 35-inch tires. Cars with Wildtrak branding look awesome.

The new Ford Bronco’s stylish exterior design would be incomplete without a selection of exciting colors, and fortunately, Ford has provided a total of eleven excellent options. Shadow Black, Oxford White, Antimatter Blue, Iconic Silver, Carbonized Gray, Velocity Blue, and Rapid Red are the affordable color options for the base model. The Big Bend package includes Cactus Gray, Area 51, and Race Red. For an extra $595, you can get the stunning Cyber Orange tri-coat on the Black Diamond trim, and the First Edition comes in a total of just five colors—one of which is Lightning Blue. Because there are so many trims and colors to choose from, the Bronco can be customized in almost any way you want.

Interior

The cabin of the 2024 Ford Bronco is unpretentious and practical, providing a lot of storage space. You can select from a vast variety of upholstery materials, from high-performance vinyl to luxurious leather, for a more luxurious feel. Waterproof materials are used for most seating areas so you won’t get bogged down by mud, water, or dust on your off-road adventures. The dashboard also features a rack for mounting cameras and smartphones, so you can keep photographic documentation of all the trails and terrain you travel. Four rubberized buttons on the dashboard give you access to more controls, such as traction control and differential lock. Rubberized and machine-washable floor mats are also available to keep muck at bay. The 2024 Ford Bronco won’t have dated infotainment systems. Display sizes for the audio and navigation systems go from 8 inches on the base model to 12 inches on the highest trim. The infotainment system is run by Ford’s SYNC 4 user interface, which can be upgraded through wireless connections.

The Ford Bronco has an impressively functional and stylish interior. However, whether it has two or four doors, the Land Rover Defender provides a significantly roomier cabin. The Defender is much more expensive than the Bronco, but it is also much better made. The Bronco’s construction and design are on par with Jeep Wrangler’s. The Jeep Wrangler with two doors has a cabin that is a little bit smaller than the Bronco with four doors.

Engine

There aren’t any Broncos with an eight-cylinder machine. Instead, a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 302 horsepower and a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 with 332 horsepower are both available. Both gas machines can be attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission, but the smaller engine also works with a 7-speed manual. Neither of the devices features any upbeat music. All four wheels of a Bronco receive power, and the vehicle’s independent front suspension is a significant upgrade over the front stick axle of a Jeep. Besides the sway bar disconnect, other notable features include electronic locking front and rear differentials, Beadlock-capable wheels, and 35-inch mud-terrain tires. The Bronco’s refined road manners were the first thing we noticed after getting behind the wheel. The Ford’s handling is superior to the Wrangler for several reasons, including the Wrangler’s less precise steering wheel. Naturally, with the giant tires and softest suspension, there is considerable brake dive, and the body-on-frame construction isn’t hidden. Of course, the Bronco isn’t limited to a single use; it can also navigate challenging landscapes. The two-door and four-door models share the Wrangler’s maximum towing capacity of 3500 pounds.

The most economical Bronco is the four-cylinder automatic, which achieves 20 City/22 highway mpg. However, if you opt for the V-6 with the Sasquatch package, which includes those above aggressive, oversized tires, your city and highway fuel economy will drop to a miserable 17 mpg. We put both the four- and six-cylinder Broncos with automatic transmissions through their paces on our 75 mph fuel economy route, and the four-cylinder models averaged 22 mpg while the V-6 models averaged 18 mpg. 2024 Ford Bronco Release Date and Price

The new Ford Bronco will go on sale this fall with a base price of just $28,500, putting it in direct competition with vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler. Adding an extra door set will increase the price to $33,200, and upgrading to the larger 2.7-liter engine will cost an additional $1,895. Two-door models of the Big Bend Ford Bronco start at $33,385, while four-door models start at $35,880. Black Diamond models start at $36,050 for the two-door and rise to $38,545 for the four-door. Broncos in the Outer Banks start at $38,955 for the two-door and go up to $41,450 for the four-door. Two-door Badlands models cost $42,095, while four-door versions cost $44,590. The price range for Wildtrak vehicles begins at $46,980 and goes up to $49,475. The four-door First Edition retails for $61,110, and the two-door model retails for $56,915. The First Edition includes everything you need, but it will cost you an additional $63,550 if you want all the bells and whistles. The 2024 Ford Bronco is scheduled to debut in the United States in the summer.
