2024 Ford Mustang Redesign, Specs, Release Date – The seventh generation of Ford’s legendary Mustang sports vehicle features redesigned but familiar looks, revised chassis components, an all-new interior, and two enhanced powertrains. While the new Pony is equipped with numerous enhancements for the future, its closest competitors, the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger face an uncertain future. The new-generation vehicle will continue to be driven by a 5.0-liter V-8 and an improved turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. However, Ford has not disclosed the exact horsepower output of either machine, only that there will be more than before. Depending on the engine option, a six-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic will be available. The Mustang will continue to be available in both coupe and convertible configurations. The Mustang’s redesigned cockpit features a 13.2-inch monitor that is part of a comprehensive, curved panel that stretches over the center stack. Additionally, touchscreen “buttons” replace traditional knobs for climate and radio control. The new Pony vehicle should go on sale sometime during the summer of 2023.
The seventh generation of the Mustang will go on sale in the summer of 2023. The new look delivers much-needed upgrades to the Mustang. Among its various design and powertrain, modifications are a new lineup of options for individuals with a severe desire for speed. The Mustang GT and EcoBoost will be available with an optional Performance Pack. The Performance Pack includes a strut-tower brace, a Torsen limited-slip differential, wider rims and tires, larger Brembo brakes, and a MagneRide active-damping suspension. For those concerned with performance, Recaro bucket seats and an active exhaust are available as options. Ford now sells a Performance Electronic Parking Brake that resembles a regular handbrake lever and is believed to make the Mustang simpler to drift. A new track-ready Mustang Dark Horse with a scarier 500-hp Coyote V-8 engine and a direct line to the Ford Performance parts bin for leaner and meaner equipment upgrades has also been added.

2024 Ford Mustang GT Redesign
Immediately recognizable as a Mustang due to a design inspired by its past, this is possibly the most crucial part of a more chiseled appearance than previously. A new 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe exterior that was too different or couldn’t be associated with the pony logo by the average observer would have been considered a travesty. Therefore it was prudent for the Blue Oval not to rock the boat too much. The tri-bar LED headlamps to feature a familiar lighting signature but have been subtly modified compared to the previous iteration. Each model in the new Mustang lineup has a unique front end, so the base model’s grille apertures are smaller than the GT, which we assess separately. Changes also include redesigned front splitters and a new hood with unique vents. The side profile consists of a conventional glasshouse and muscular fenders. Standard on the coupe are alloy wheels measuring 17 inches, but broader wheels will be available.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe will be available in less than eleven hues. Vapor Blue and Yellow Splash are brand-new hues, and there will be brand-new stripe patterns for additional customization. Brake calipers will be open in various colors, including Grabber Blue and Red, and a Bronze Design Series Appearance Package is an option. This mod replaces the default metals with sinister bronze ones and gives the default insignia a bronze appearance. Performance Pack options include wider wheels, tires, and larger Brembo brakes. These brakes have front dimensions of 15.3 inches and rear dimensions of 13.9 inches. What if the Performance Pack and the Bronze Design Series Appearance Package are desired? No problem, according to Ford, as both may be ordered together.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe has official measurements of 189.4 inches in length and 55 inches in height, making it longer and taller than the previous generation. Ford often emphasized the new model’s overall width; however, the new model keeps the same 75.4-inch width as the old one (excluding the mirrors). The current Mustang has a length of 188.5 inches and a height of 54.3 inches; the new one should not deviate significantly from these dimensions. The wheelbase is 107 inches long. With another EcoBoost machine under the hood, the curb weight of the new model remains the same at 3,492 pounds, while the addition of an automatic transmission increases curbs weight to 3,512 pounds.

Interior
From the 2024 Mustang’s driver’s seat, every feature has been carved into place with what Ford calls a “fighter-jet inspired” design. While we wait to see if the Mustang’s performance will shatter the sound barrier, its 12.4-inch standard instrument cluster significantly improved over the previous vehicle. The changeable display can be tailored to meet the requirements of the majority of red, white, and blue patriots, with various colors, gauges, and even a “calm” screen that exposes only the essential information. The ambient illumination and driver’s display adapt to the selected drive mode. The base Mustang comes standard with cloth seats and optional micro-suede vinyl inserts, while the Premium trim adds stitching to the door trim and dashboard. The Mustang GT is equipped with leather accents. Ford has also incorporated a “Remote Rev” option that allows the engine to rev up with a simple click of the key fob while the driver stands outside the vehicle admiring the sounds.
The new Mustang’s interior gadgetry is a significant area of improvement. Behind a curved glass panel, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen with Ford’s Sync 4 software flows from the gauge cluster toward the vehicle’s center. CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on this system, and a wireless smartphone charger is available as an option to help drivers decrease cable clutter. Amazon Alexa and Ford Streaming let you use voice commands instead of turning knobs and pressing buttons. Every Mustang comes with Ford Power-Up software, which enables you to update software and improve vehicle functions over the air.

Engine
A few years ago, we developed what we believed to be five valid arguments for why the 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost was superior to the V8. This underappreciated power plant merits at least a test drive before being written off. The new Ford Mustang Coupe engine is a new turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost. Ford has not yet disclosed outputs, but the current EcoBoost produces 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A high-performance model with 330 horsepower and 350 pound-feet torque is also available. Reportedly, the EcoBoost engine will not be offered a six-speed manual transmission, leaving only a ten-speed automated to transmit power to the rear wheels. However, Ford’s published specifications indicate both will be available. The current Mustang EcoBoost can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in around five seconds, but if the new model is more potent, it may be able to do it in under four.
Ford will want to preserve the existing Mustang’s handling prowess. Regular, Sport, Slippery, Drag, and Track, in addition to a user-configurable mode, are among the six driving methods available on the new model. The EcoBoost Performance Pack adds a front tower brace, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and bigger wheels and tires, giving the vehicle an even sportier appearance. Additionally, MagneRide active suspension is available. Electronic railway line locks are also available.
As a 2024 model, the following Ford Mustang Coupe’s EPA ratings and driving range are unclear. The Mustang EcoBoost has always offered a good balance between performance and fuel economy, as proven by the 2022 model’s city/highway/combined ratings of 22/32/25 mpg. The upgraded EcoBoost engine in the current model should provide equivalent fuel economy.

2024 Ford Mustang GT Price and Release Date
The new 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe’s release date in the United States is scheduled for the summer of 2023. There is still time to purchase a current-generation Mustang, as the successor has not yet been released. As with new releases, the 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe’s price has not yet been disclosed. It will presumably cost a touch more than the current Mustang EcoBoost, which starts at $27,470 MSRP, and we’ll be pleased if Ford can keep the price below the psychological $30,000 threshold.
