Ford has stated it will offer a turbodiesel V-6 in some regions for the new Ranger. Still, we anticipate the American version will continue to have the same turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive configuration as the outgoing vehicle. Optional all-wheel drive is available, and a hybrid powertrain may be added to the roster in the future, but the idea of a high-performance Raptor model fascinates us most.
