Ford GT Next-Gen 2024 Concept, Colors, Release Date

Posted on August 30, 2022

Ford GT Next-Gen 2024 Concept, Colors, Release Date – Get together around $500,000 and find a way to get into a 2024 Ford GT lottery if you want to drive a race car that’s legal for road use. Its stunning exterior appearance is both a tribute to the legendary GT40 race vehicle that dominated Le Mans in the 1960s and a showcase for Ford’s superior design and engineering capabilities. There is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 in the Ford F-150, but it doesn’t produce 660 horsepower or howl like a pack of satanic ghouls when pushed to its limits. It would help if you did so on a racetrack for your safety, of course, but also to fully appreciate the GT’s ferocious acceleration, vivid steering, and indestructible carbon-ceramic brakes. Surprisingly, its suspension was designed with the track and everyday roads in mind. Please don’t mistake it for a daily driver; the cockpit is sparsely furnished to minimize distractions, and getting in and out of it is a hassle. Of course, the Ford GT’s prohibitive price tag won’t blow away Ferrari and McLaren owners with its raw performance numbers. Still, it will blow away anyone lucky enough to get behind the wheel.

One reason the 2024 Ford GT is so significant is that it is the final year of manufacture for this particular edition race car that can also be used on public roads. Ford has released the 2024 GT ’64 Prototype Heritage Edition as a farewell to the magnificent machine that debuted in 2017 and a further tribute to the five original GT prototypes that gave birth to the Le Man’s winners. This limited edition model was designed to look like the original GT/101 prototype. Hence it is painted Wimbledon White and has a variety of Antimatter Blue trim and accents. They go from the racing stripe on the roof to the 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels. Lightspeed Blue microsuede matches the carbon fiber upholstery and dashboard accents, while black microsuede covers the steering wheel and the top.

Similarly, the 2024 Ford GT is not slated to see any alterations to its look. This ensures that it will retain its striking good looks. A pair of hood scoops and the Blue Oval logo will adorn the front of the vehicle. Up front, we’ll still have the sleek headlights with built-in LED DRLs. Large “flying buttress” side-body scoops and the car’s large front and rear fenders are immediately noticeable from the side, as are other advanced aerodynamic features. Many of these features were taken directly from the iconic GT40. The “liquid carbon” upgrade, which removes the body’s protective clear finish to reveal all of the carbon fiber used in its construction, is available to 2024 Ford GT purchasers eager to flaunt their wealth. While each of these vehicles is unmistakable in its own right, they all share the ability to turn heads even before you floor it and show off your massive motors. The Lamborghini Aventador S is the heaviest and slowest of the competitors, while the McLaren is the lightest and, therefore, the fastest.

When it comes to width, the GT delivers. Its overall width is 88.1 inches when the mirrors are taken into account. When you fold them in, your circumference will still be 83.2 inches, although your body only accounts for 78.9 inches. The GT’s standard ride height is 43.7 inches, which can be lowered by two inches with the help of the adjustable suspension. The overall length is 187.5 inches, and the width is 73.5 inches, while the height is 106.7 inches. The GT’s dry weight (weight without fuel or other fluids) is under 3,054 pounds, a feat made possible by the liberal application of carbon fiber in the construction of the supercar.

The GT comes in various special editions, but our favorite is the Heritage Edition for its unique paint job. The distinctive orange and blue of Gulf Oil are featured on this variant, with a thin black line separating the two colors and the race number 6 made of exposed carbon fiber on the doors. Stripes can be added in Frozen White, Shadow Black, Ingot Silver, Alloy, Lightning Blue, Race Red, or Competition Orange. Additional paint options include Liquid Blue, Triple Yellow, Shadow Black, Liquid Grey, Liquid Red, and Matte Black. The limited-edition Liquid Carbon specification doesn’t require any paint; instead, it coats the carbon body in a clear gloss finish. You also can have the front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser painted in Shadow Black, as well as matte or gloss carbon fiber.

Interior

The gauge cluster looks like it came from a Ford GT race car, and a second digital display is built into the suede-covered dashboard to control the audio and climate settings. Something is striking about the interior, too, though for different reasons. Almost all of the functions are located on the race car-style steering wheel, making the interior incredibly sparse and centered on the driver. The entry is complex; once inside, you’ll find that the driver’s seat is fixed in one position. Instead, Ford made the fixed seat, pedals, and steering wheel all adjustable based on the driver’s position.

The GT’s primary focus is on its drivers. Hence it does not include the extensive list of infotainment and connectivity options that other new automobiles do. The $500,000 vehicle not only has built-in navigation but also reacts to voice commands, making it ideal for road trips. It comes with Ford’s Sync 3 software and a 6.5-inch touchscreen.

Engine

In 2024, the Ford GT will keep its 3.5L Twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces 660 h0rsepower equivalent and 550 lb-ft of torque. A quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The machine is just as monstrous, rumbling beneath the passenger compartment. Indeed, Ford’s approach was a little out of the ordinary compared to the segment’s other potent competitors, many of which use fire-breathing V8s and V12s. The Ford GT can reach 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds and the quarter mile in 10.8 seconds, despite being a rear-wheel drive vehicle. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission helps achieve rapid acceleration with smooth and fast gear changes. Before the passionate audience explodes, we’ll admit that the Ford GT’s unique V6 is underpowered compared to the high-revving, massive-displacement engines with eight or more cylinders. The 2021 McLaren 720S outruns the Ford GT in speed and power. Comparatively speaking, it is more accessible than the extremely rare GT.

In contrast, the classic Lamborghini Aventador features jaw-dropping acceleration, all-wheel-drive confidence, and the ability to glide around bends and eat up the competition on straightaways. However, the Ferrari is the most energetic of the bunch. The Ferrari F8 Tributo is faster than the absurdly costly Ford GT (0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds) and more affordable.

Concerning hypercars, preserving fossil fuels is not a top concern. The Ford GT, however, is a prime illustration of efficiency. In city driving, it is expected to achieve 12 mpg, and on the highway, 18 mpg, according to the EPA. That’s not too great compared to gas hogs like the Bugatti Chiron (9/15 mpg city/highway) or the Lamborghini Aventador (9/14 mpg city/highway). However, the Ford has only four fewer cylinders than the Lambo and ten more irregulars than the Bugatti. We can’t judge their real-world mpg since we haven’t put any of these high-priced machines through our thorough testing procedure, including our 75-mph fuel-economy route. Check the EPA’s site for specifics on the GT’s gas mileage.

Ford GT Next-Gen 2024 Release Date and Price

Suppose you possess a majority stake in a company like Microsoft, Apple, Qatar Airways, the Burj Khalifa hotel in Dubai, or British American Tobacco. In that case, the Ford GT is within your price range. The Ford GT has a staggeringly high starting price of $500,000. Put that in your mind for a minute. One hundred and fifty thousand dollars for something that looks like it shares a badge with a Transit minivan. Though we can only speculate how much more money customizing this supercar might cost, even those for whom money is no object should probably exercise caution. The release of the 2024 Ford GT in the United States is anticipated for the summer of that year.
