Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV 2024, AWD, Price – We gave the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E an Editors’ Choice award because it combines popular aspects from the past and present in a beautiful package encouraging the future of electric automobiles. Ford’s decision to call a crossover EV a Mustang may sound sacrilegious, but marrying the recognizable badge with a popular body type is shrewd marketing. The Mach-E offers a tastefully decorated interior with cutting-edge technology and an eye-catching exterior. It also boasts cargo space, a roomy back seat, and clever storage options. The electrified Mustang feels nimble and snappy when you’re driving it. The range-extending models are expected to travel more than 300 miles on a single charge, while the sportiest version accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds (quicker than a Mustang Mach 1). The 2024 Mustang Mach-E is a transcending EV thanks to all the above.
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E, which won our first EV of the Year award, is now entering its second model year and benefits from slightly greater usable battery capacity, which should extend its practical range. The California 1 now comes standard with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. It is also available with an all-wheel drive. Likewise, a black-painted roof is now a standard feature on the GT model. The Mach-E is now offered in an all-white special edition known as the Ice White Edition, much like the Mustang pony car. Only the Premium trim level is available with this new look package, which has tri-coat Star White metallic paint, Oxford White accents on the outside emblems, and 19-inch wheels. Models other than the GT can now get the vivid Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange paint schemes.

The upright rear end, which features the Mach-version E’s of the iconic Mustang rear lights, complements the front’s downward taper effectively. Although blocking off the front grille is risky, we appreciate that Ford chose to emphasize rather than downplay the advantages of an EV. Few things annoy us more than an EV with a phony grille. It’s also a lovely touch to have the door handles hidden.
Compared to the standard vintage Mustang, the Mach-E has a smaller footprint. Despite being shorter and thinner, it can comfortably transport five passengers. The wheelbase measures 117.5 inches, 185.6 inches long, and 74.1 inches wide. That is the big secret of Mach-E. A longer wheelbase provides more room for people and goods, and since the front and rear wheels are not physically connected, a flat floor is also provided. The GT models measure 186.7 inches longer. All passengers have enough headroom at the 64-inch height, while the California Route 1 and GT models are slightly lower at 63.5 inches. The curb weight of base RWD vehicles is 4,318 pounds, whereas the GT Performance Edition is 4,989 pounds.

Interior
The Mustang Mach-battery E’s are hidden beneath the vehicle’s floor, allowing for the most cargo and passenger room possible. In contrast to its looks, the interior of the Mach-E is very different from the standard Mustang. Its sleek dashboard features a functional digital gauge cluster and a sizable touchscreen that is positioned vertically. Between the front-seat occupants, a handbag or other goods can be kept in a floating, flip-up armrest on the center console. Additionally, there are a lot of cool features, including a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and adjustable ambient interior lighting. The front trunk can store ice and filthy items because it is made of sturdy plastic that can be cleaned and drained. With the back seats folded down, the Mach-cargo E’s area expands to 60 cubic feet, or 29 cubic feet with them in place.
Ford’s next-generation SYNC infotainment system, which presently allows three driver profiles and one visitor, employs machine learning to adapt to each driver’s experience. A 15.5-inch touchscreen vertically installed on the Mustang Mach-E provides simple access to the system’s various apps and capabilities. Engine
Even though bigger models weigh up to 5,000 lbs, the Mach-E can get off the line quickly because of its direct drive system and immediate power delivery. One electric motor at the rear is connected to a single-speed transmission in the basic configuration. By using the eAWD technology, the front axle gains a second electric motor. Because there is no mechanical collar between the two engines, AWD performance is entirely novel. An AWD system like this could deliver 100 percent of available power to both axles simultaneously, rather than evenly distributing it between the front and rear. The more motors and battery capacity you have, the more control you have to work with. It’s that easy.
The fact that AWD cars with ER batteries accelerate to 60 mph 1.3 seconds faster than RWD variants with identical batteries immediately stands out. The Premium RWD with the ER battery is the model that moves the slowest. In comparison, the GT Performance Edition with eAWD and an ER battery accelerates to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. All of the other models lie between these two extremes.
All the factors above likewise influence the models’ power output. The RWD version of the Select models’ 70 kWh battery (standard range) produces 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. When the AWD system is included, the torque rises to 428 lb-ft. A 91-kWh (extended range) battery is included with the California Route 1 as standard equipment. In RWD configuration, the single electric motor generates 290 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The power is increased to 346 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque by adding another engine to the front. Each previously described configuration is available for the Premium trim, and the power outputs are the same. The ER battery comes with the GT and GT Performance. The performance increases the torque to 634 lb-ft from the basic GT’s 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft. These two versions are the fastest to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 and 3.5 seconds, respectively.
Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV 2024 Date and Cost
The price of a Ford Mach-E model ranged from $43,895 for the Select to $48,775 for the Premium. Although dealers charge as much as $70,000 for the fastest model, the GT retailed for $61,995, and the California Route 1 had an MSRP of $52,450. As previously indicated, the Mach-E has a definite advantage over the Tesla Model Y because of the $7,500 federal tax credit it is eligible for. The release date of the new Mach-E, which was teased along with its global unveiling, is a little hazy; Ford CEO Jim Farley has only said that the US will get it in 2024.
