New 2024 Ford Edge Colors, Interior, Price – If you want a midsize SUV but don’t want three rows of passengers, the 2024 Ford Edge and its two-row competitors provide more ideal space than most compact crossovers. The Ford is attractive and provides either a turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbocharged V-6 with 335 horsepower, but the latter is unique to the performance-oriented ST model. Many competitors, including the Chevrolet Blazer, Honda Passport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, offer comparable packages, and some are more refined. The Edge’s cabin has a 12.0-inch infotainment screen and other luxury and convenience features, but its outdated design and low-quality materials make it feel more like a cheap SUV.
Beginning with the 2024 model year, SE trims can be equipped with a Black Appearance package as an option. It features black 19-inch wheels and several black external embellishments. In addition, the SEL now offers an optional Adventure package that includes 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, faux-leather upholstery, and gray and black exterior elements. Several new dealer-installed extras, including a center console-mounted safe, are also included. Flight Blue and Forged Green have been added to the color scheme.
New 2024 Ford Edge Redesign.
The 2024 Ford Edge may not be the most eye-catching vehicle in the parking lot, but it’s still a gorgeous vehicle, and 2024 variants receive several new external upgrades. The 18-inch alloy wheels on the SE are painted silver, while sportier variants such as the ST-Line have 20-inch Premium Gloss Black wheels. Bi-LED down and high beam headlamps with auto on/off, color-coded door handles, and privacy glass on the rear doors, quarter, and liftgate windows are standard external features. ST-Line cars feature LED fog lamps, and a panoramic panorama roof is available on all trims besides SE.
The Ford Edge and the Nissan Murano, both classified as midsize SUVs, have comparable dimensions. This vehicle’s huge size will appeal to families needing a spacious automobile. The Edge has a total length of 188.8 inches and a wheelbase of 112.2 inches. The Edge has a full width of 75.9 inches, excluding the side mirrors, and a height of 68.3 inches. The curb weight is 4,122 pounds. Seven color options are available, starting with the base SE model, including a brand-new hue called Forged Green. The remaining colors are Agata Black, Iconic Silver, Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Oxford White, and Stone Blue. The SEL adds colors like Rapid Red and Burgundy Velvet for an additional $495 or Star White for $795. ST-Line and Titanium give the majority of these hues, with minor variations. The sporty ST-Line is particularly attractive in Agate Black or Rapid Red. Desert Gold and Lithium Gray are no longer available.
This large, midsize Ford SUV has ample legroom and headroom in both rows. In addition, the base trim features superior fabric upholstery, while higher trims have leather upholstery of excellent quality. Budget-grade materials are anticipated to be eliminated from the interiors of the 2024 Ford Edge, which will receive a facelift and required enhancements. This time around, Ford is expected to update the interior’s appearance, which has become dated. The 12-inch tablet-like central infotainment screen is the focal point.
Given that the CD6 architecture that supports the Ford Explorer is a three-row SUV platform, the Edge may sport a revised dashboard and an optional third row. In the following few days, the company will likely release additional information. For now, though, the Ford Edge base model will be a two-row crossover with a class-average 39.2 cubic feet of trunk space. Not only do Edge’s competitors have more room for luggage, but they also don’t have Edge’s large cabin.
Under the hood of the new Ford Edge is a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine mated to an eight-speed automated transmission that produces 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Whereas its naturally-aspirated V6 competitors must rev to the moon to access all their power, the Edge generates massive amounts of torque low down and has an astounding 3,500-pound towing capacity. Still, few will care about the amount of energy because they will be more concerned with how the vehicle moves. The excellent information is that there is an adequate low-end grunt, and according to independent tests, the auto can hit 60 miles per hour in less than seven seconds. FWD is standard on the Edge, although AWD is available at an additional cost.
Even though Edge’s turbocharged Ecoboost engine is a four-cylinder, it achieves comparable fuel economy to naturally aspirated V6 competitors. Last year’s FWD variants achieved city/highway/combined mileage ratings of 21/29/24 miles per gallon, but they have been discontinued this year. The default AWD for 2024 delivers 20/28/23 mpg on the same cycles. These values are equal to those of the Nissan Murano AWD, which achieves 20/28/23 mpg, while the Honda Passport AWD achieves 19/24/21 mpg. The 18.5-gallon fuel tank on AWD vehicles allows for a maximum range of 426 miles. Overall, the Ford Edge’s fuel economy is only average.
