New 2024 Ford Maverick Release Date, Interior, AWD

Posted on July 24, 2022

New 2024 Ford Maverick Release Date, Interior, AWD – Everybody can find a Maverick thanks to the variety of powerplant options offered across various models and trims. The Hyundai Santa Cruz Crew Cab is the primary rival of the 2024 Ford Maverick SuperCrew in the small pickup truck market. There are three trims available, ranging from the basic XL trim’s MSRP of $21,490 to the top Lariat trim’s MSRP of $27,355. Two thrilling powertrains are available for the Maverick SuperCrew, one of which is solely front-wheel drive and the other of which is front-wheel drive plus four-wheel drive.

The 2.5L Inline-4 basic engine has a CVT and can produce 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. The towing capability of this engine is 2,000 pounds. A second engine, a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 with an 8-Speed Automatic gearbox, produces 250 horsepower and has a 4,000-pound towing capability.

While the Lariat adds body-color handles, the basic model makes do with a black grille and black door and tailgate handles. Although the base LX has essential 17-inch steel wheels, LED headlamps are standard. While the Lariat rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and the XLT on 17-inch alloy wheels, the First Edition Package adds black wheels to both models. Ford’s Flex system and the six-bed tie-downs offer practical options for transporting and arranging the freight. A power moonroof, cargo bed liner, tonneau cover, and pickup box extension are available extras.

The Maverick’s base may be painted in one of seven colors.

These are Velocity Blue, Cactus Gray, Carbonized Gray, Area 51, Oxford White, Shadow Black, and Iconic Silver. Ford won’t charge you more for any of these hues, highlighting the value offered by the base model. Alto Blue Metallic ($390), Cyber Orange Metallic ($495), and Hot Pepper Metallic ($390) are new additions to the mid-range XLT’s more colorful color scheme. Rapid Red Metallic is the last color option for the Lariat. Still, it needs the Lariat and First Edition packages and the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which dramatically boosts the price. Ford has a wide variety of colorful, attractive colors, so hopefully, there won’t be as many dull hues on the road.

Interior

Every Maverick has a crew cab with four full-sized doors and a back seat with adequate space. Thanks to Ford, several storage nooks and bins around the interior, including some sizable areas under the back seat. Although the standard features on base models are far from luxurious, they include an adjustable steering wheel with radio controls, remote keyless entry, and lumbar support for the front seats. The XLT and Lariat trim come with or have options for more features, like power front seats, ambient interior lighting, and automatic temperature control for two zones.

According to Ford, the Maverick’s 4.5-foot bed can accommodate up to 18 sheets of 4×8-foot, 3/4-inch plywood without requiring them to be loaded at an angle. Along with a 110-volt outlet, the mattress has a 12-volt power port. Every Maverick level comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard equipment. Additionally, included as standard equipments are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot on even the cheapest model. SiriusXM satellite radio, a better B&O Play sound system, and smartphone wireless charging are among the options.

Engine

The regular hybrid variant is the first of two available engines for the new Maverick. It generates 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque by combining a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle inline-four engine with an electric traction motor. Peak torque for the four-pot engine occurs at 4,000 pm. This model comes standard with a continuously variable gearbox; we thought it was quiet and smooth. If you depress the throttle just enough, it will cease using the electric motor before starting the gas engine. Some ardent truck lovers may mock a hybrid truck with a CVT, but the Maverick shines in city driving. It has a calm atmosphere.

The 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which generates a substantially more robust 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, is the only option for those seeking AWD or a more spirited performance. It comes with an eight-speed automated transmission and offers much more energetic acceleration. When you request acceleration, the eight-speed message performs shifts promptly and has a smooth operation. The hybrid engine seemed quieter and more comfortable, but the EcoBoost is much faster and sounds harsher when driven hard.

New 2024 Ford Maverick Date and Price

The basic XL with the hybrid drivetrain costs only $19,995, not including the $1,495 destination fee. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine will raise that cost by $1,085, and the price of the vehicle with AWD and the EcoBoost engine will rise by $3,305. The Lariat, which comes well-equipped, retails for $25,490, while the midrange XLT costs $22,280. The same premium as the XL is required for the EcoBoost engine or the EcoBoost with AWD.
