New 2024 Ford Mustang GT Redesign, Specs, Price – The 2-door 2024 Ford Mustang GT Coupe is poised to carry on the Mustang’s legacy as an affordable American pony car thanks to its Coyote V8 engine, which is widely regarded as the only “correct” engine choice for a Mustang. With a starting price of $37,275, the GT makes the thrilling experience of driving a V8 sports car within reach. The 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, but an advanced ten-speed SelectShift automatic is available for those who prefer it. Buyers can pick between two trim levels, each offered at a competitive price, an integral part of the Mustang brand. Is the GT Coupe a mediocre compromise between a Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Challenger, or does it offer the finest of both worlds?
Ford’s GT Premium now comes with a new Ice White Appearance Package for the 2024 model year. White accents are added all over the vehicle, including painted wheel wells for 19-inch wheels, an Ice White door trim panel, Oxford White exterior paint, and an Ice White performance rear wing. The GT Premium now also comes with a brand-new California Special Package. These include unique honeycomb grilles, 19-inch wheels, California Special badging, Miko Suede upholstery, and more. The GT Performance Package, available for the first time on a California Special Mustang, improves dynamics with features like Brembo brakes, a lower ride height, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and heavy-duty front springs. Aside from these bundles, Ford has also updated the color scheme by adding new options like Atlas Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic.
New 2024 Ford Mustang GT Redesign
The 2024 Ford Mustang will likely be indistinguishable from the current generation. 2021 MY features bold exterior styling and a handful of daring color options. Ford will probably take a similar tack for the next generation, albeit with an expanded palette and new personalization options. However, the current model provides a good selection of hood styles with optional “over-the-top” racing stripes color schemes, which both add a humorous touch and evoke fond memories of the muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The front grille is attractive, and there are some aggressive-looking cuts on the front fenders; meanwhile, the LED headlights and daytime driving lights (DRLs) are styled exquisitely inside. Since we want the front bumper to look wide like a natural muscle, we kept it relatively unadorned. Mustang’s true nature is reflected in the rear half, where the integration of the wheel wells is slightly wider to give it that muscular build, in contrast to the car’s relatively simple front half.
The Camaro and Challenger are slightly more prominent, but the Mustang is still one of its class’s more compact sports cars. Its dimensions are 188.5 inches in length, 81.9 inches in width (or 76.1 inches with the mirrors folded), and 54.3 inches in height when riding on the factory wheels. A 107.1-inch wheelbase allows it to move around smoothly. The manual-transmission GT Coupe has a curb weight of 3,730 pounds, and the automatic weighs 3,752 pounds.
The New 2024 Ford Mustang GT cabin is more refined than ever, thanks to an evolutionary design that pays homage to classic Mustangs while being fully functional and comfortable for everyday use. There are some nice extras you can get with it, like heated and cooled front seats, but the quality of the plastics isn’t excellent, and the back seat is narrow enough for just the Headless Horseman. The Mustang is perfect for daily driving due to its stellar performance and ample cargo capacity. Comparatively, it has the most storage space on the inside and can hold the second-most carry-on suitcases in our tests. The rear seat folds down and out of the way with the pull of a strap. The Mustang has enough space for up to 12 carry-on bags. Comparatively, Ford’s center console bin is the largest of the vehicles we looked at.
The Sync 3 infotainment system, available in Ford vehicles, is minimalist and easy to use. It’s not as quick or powerful as some competitors, but it has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a great sound system. A mobile hotspot with Wi-Fi capability is an option for the Mustang. Ford Sync Connect is standard equipment, a smartphone app that allows drivers to manage and keep tabs on their vehicles.
Since Ford has not announced any changes to the Mustang’s powertrain for the 2024 model year, the current setup will remain unchanged. The most potent 4-cylinder Mustang engine is included in this package, which boasts a larger turbo compressor, retuned engine, and larger radiator. The standard machine is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost that produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. With the high-performance package, you can enjoy 332 horsepower and increased torque. The forthcoming muscle car will have rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission.
The muscle car has decent handling thanks to its standard four-wheel independent suspension and the optional MagneRide dampers, which make the ride more comfortable and manageable. The New 2024 Ford Mustang GT EcoBoost outperforms all other competing engines. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder in the Camaro is weaker in horsepower but has more torque. If you’re looking for the largest engine, the Challenger has it, but it’s not as potent as Ford’s 2.3L. The 400Z from Nissan is equipped with a similarly complete motor and should easily outpace the Chevy. Even more so, the Mustang’s high-performance package allows it to produce more power.
New 2024 Ford Mustang GT Release Date and Price
In 2024, the manual transmission version of the New 2024 Ford Mustang GT starts at $37,275, while the automatic transmission adds $1,595. If you want the GT Premium, the price jumps to $41,275 for the manual and $1,595 for the automatic. The additional $4,000 is justified by the addition of high-quality features like leather upholstery and an upgraded audio system. The 2024 Ford Mustang GT is scheduled to debut in the United States sometime in the summer.
