New 2024 Ford Ranger USA Interior, Specs, Price

Posted on September 11, 2022

New 2024 Ford Ranger USA Interior, Specs, Price – The 2024 Ford Ranger is a makeover of Ford’s midsize pickup truck. It takes cues from the larger F-150 regarding its more imposing front fascia. Although Ford has announced that the new Ranger will be available with a turbodiesel V-6 in some areas, we anticipate that the American version will be powered by the same turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine as the present truck, with rear-wheel drive as standard. Optional all-wheel drive and hybrid powertrains are also intriguing, but the potential of a high-performance Raptor model has us most enthralled. There will be a four-door crew cab and a more extended extended-cab version with two rear half-doors. The dashboard is mainly taken up by an extensive, vertically-oriented infotainment system, like the one in the Edge SUV.

The 2024 Ford Ranger SuperCrew competes with the Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab, the Honda Ridgeline Crew Cab, and the Jeep Gladiator Crew Cab as part of the midsize pickup truck sector. Having a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission, the starting MSRP is $27,000. However, this is the only drivetrain available across all three trim levels, even though the price goes up to $40,000. The 0-60 mph time drops to 6.5 seconds with this engine’s output of 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive compositions are on sale. The Ford Ranger SuperCrew has a maximum payload of 1,860 pounds and a single 5’1″ cab. A healthy 7,500-pound towing capacity is also included.

There are three trim levels and two body designs to choose from when shopping for a Ranger. Two-door extended cab Fords are known as SuperCabs, while four-door crew cabs are known as SuperCrews. There are two doorways and a six-foot bed on the extended cab, whereas there are four entrances and a five-foot bed on the crew cab. The Standard XL comes with 16-inch steel wheels, black plastic bumpers, wheel wells, door handles, and mirrors. Body-color bumpers, wheel arches, and 17-inch alloy wheels are standard on the XLT. Lariat is the top trim level and has 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and a grille explicitly designed for this vehicle. All-wheel anti-lock brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system, side intrusion door beams, driver and front passenger airbags, seat-mounted side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, load-limiting retractors, driver-seat position sensing, crash severity sensing, and front and rear airbags are standard, as side intrusion door beams, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a SecuriLock passive anti-theft system (PATS) and AdvanceTrak.

The New 2024 Ford Ranger proportions are variant-specific, as they are with most pickups. The bed length on a Ford Ranger 4-door SuperCab is six feet. Both the 4×2 and 4×4 models stand at 70.7 inches in height. Bed dimensions are as follows: height: 20.8, length: 72.8, width: 44.8 inches (at its narrowest), and width: 61.4 inches (at its widest). It can hold up to 51.8 cubic feet of cargo. The SuperCrew 4×4 can be had in two different heights, either 71.1 (4×2) or 71.5 (4×4) inches. It has four doors and a shorter than the standard five-foot bed (61 inches). The bed is higher at 20.8 inches, but the dimensions are the same as those of the SuperCab. However, cargo space is reduced to 43.3 cubic feet due to the vehicle’s lower length. The maximum length for any Ranger is 210.1 inches, and the maximum width is 73.3 inches (not including the mirrors). All Ranger variants share the same standard wheelbase length of 126.8 inches. The ground clearance of the 4×2 models is 8.4 inches, while that of the 4×4 variants is 8.9 inches.

You can pick from eight different hues for the standard XL Super Cab. The available colors are as follows: Race Red, Hot Pepper Red (needs the STX Appearance Package), Velocity Blue, Iconic Silver, Carbonized Gray, Cactus Gray (requires the STX Appearance Package), Oxford White, and Shadow Black. The Cyber Orange trim is exclusive to the XLT trim level and can only be obtained by purchasing an extra package. However, more packets are unnecessary at this stage for Hot Pepper Red and Cactus Gray. Both the XLT and the Lariat provide the same color selection.

Interior

Despite its 2019 debut in the United States, the current Ford Ranger has been on sale in other markets since 2011, and its mature age is readily apparent inside. Rough, cheap-looking plastics dominate the interior, and the exterior is uninspired and unremarkable. Most of the panels are thick and seem like they’ll stand up well to daily usage and abuse, but they don’t add much to boost the Ranger’s aesthetic value, especially when compared to newcomers like the posh Hyundai Santa Cruz.

Two distinct audio/visual packages are available for the 2024 Ranger. The default configuration consists of a 3.5-inch screen and various physical buttons and knobs. There isn’t much to this system, and it doesn’t do anything. It gets much worse: The interface is poorly designed. The optional 8-inch touch screen is highly recommended. With its intuitive interface and speedy reactions, this system makes using a smartphone hands-free in the car a breeze. It supports the widely used smartphone integration standards, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Engine

The 2.3-liter New 2024 Ford Ranger engine is an excellent propulsion system. Initially used in the crazed Focus RS, it now also propels the entry-level Mustang. According to how you put it up, it can do many different things—producing 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque in the Ranger. Adding low-end grunts was the primary goal, with increased performance being a pleasant side effect. Those who prefer manual transmissions will be disappointed to learn that it is not an option. But an automatic transmission is preferable because of how frequently this car will change gears. Shifting gears is one less thing to worry about when off-roading or pulling a trailer. The Ranger can be reluctant to downshift while in Sport Mode, but that’s not why you buy a pickup. The Ranger’s engine feels fully capable in any other situation, such as cruising along the highway or towing a trailer.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) counts that the rear-wheel-drive Ford Ranger pickup truck achieves 21/26/23 mpg in city/highway/combined cycles. Standard 4×4 models get 20/24/22 mpg, while the 4×4 with the Tremor package gets 19/19/19 mpg. The least efficient Tacoma is powered by a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces a paltry 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. This one arrives the closest to matching the Ranger’s EPA ratings, yet it still gets 20/23/21 mpg in 2WD form. The 3.5-liter 4WD automatic Tacoma is much more comparable to the Ranger in terms of performance, and it gets EPA-estimated results of 18/22/20 mpg. The Honda Ridgeline is also worth looking at because it has a powerful 3.5-liter engine and gets 18/24/21 mpg.

New 2024 Ford Ranger Release Date and Price

The starting price of the 2024 Ford Ranger is $25,285, which puts it in the middle of the pricing range for compact pickup trucks. Upgrading to the XLT trim costs an additional $2,935, while the Lariat version costs an additional $33,375. The 2024 Ford Ranger is scheduled to debut in the summer of that year in the United States.
