New Ford E-Transit Cargo Van 2024 Models, Changes, Price – Ford’s 2024 E-Transit full-size van may seem similar to its gas-powered predecessor, but it will be driven entirely by electricity and have a range of about 126 miles. All E-Transit variants are driven by a 266-horsepower electric motor that drives the rear wheels. While it will initially only be available as a cargo van, we anticipate a passenger version entering the market in the future. It will be available in cutaway and chassis cab body styles. A DC fast charger can add 30 miles of range to the E-67.0 Transit’s kWh battery pack in 10 minutes. To help fleet customers maximize productivity, a standard 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and communication options via a 4G LTE modem are included. Benz has its own electrified van called the EQV that could make its way to the United States to combat Ford in its home territory; the E-Transit will compete with gasoline-powered options like the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Ram ProMaster.
Ford’s 2024 E-Transit is a brand-new model that won’t be sold under the F-Series moniker until late 2023. Ford’s E-Transit is the automaker’s third all-electric vehicle after the Mustang Mach-E SUV and the F-150 Electric pickup truck. According to Ford, the base price of an E-Transit cargo van without the optional rear cargo space is around $45,000, with the Cutaway body design available to professional upholsterers. For most buyers, the cargo van is the superior option. Ford hasn’t said much about a passenger-hauling version, but we expect it to come out soon after the E-Transit does.

New Ford E-Transit Cargo Van Redesign
Boxy and ugly best describe the 2024 Ford Transit Connect Cargo. Compared to the previous models, the front fascia hasn’t changed much. The van is not designed to draw compliments for its good looks or sophisticated style. You can see some apparent differences in this pruned tree. The bumpers are black on the base XL model but are upgraded to match the body color on the higher-end XLT model. The rain-sensing windshield wipers are standard on the Transit Connect Cargo Van, and the XLT trim is the best one that can be had with the massive panoramic sunroof. The wide grille is reminiscent of the EcoSport, while the slick headlamps are reminiscent of the Ford Fusion. For the 2024 model year, new “Dark Sparkle” 16-inch alloy wheels are available in various colors that make the vehicle easier to see from an isometric point of view. These colors include Frozen White, Agate Black, Race Red, Dark Blue, and Silver.
Length and height go to the Mercedes-Benz Metris, while width goes to the Transit Connect. What that suggests, in plain English, is that people with those physical types are more likely to be assaulted. The computation of a higher center of gravity from ground level is guided by the combination of such a great height and a loaded mass of at least 2000 lbs. The 2WD layout, whether front- or rear-wheel drive, taints the rest of the picture by posing difficulties with the traction and contact patch necessary for the smaller wheels. Since they have all been kept under the same constraints, they can all be considered equivalent. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz Metris Cargo Van steals the show regarding practicality because it can carry the most cargo in terms of volume and weight.

Interior
Ford hasn’t done much inside the E-Transit to set it apart from the regular model, and the same can be said of the exterior. The most visible change is the rotating knob for shifting gears, similar to those found on many Ford passenger vehicles. The E-Transit also features Ford’s latest SYNC 4 infotainment suite, which is housed on a large 12-inch touchscreen and is the first commercial vehicle to have such a system. Fleet customers can benefit from SYNC4’s capabilities like cloud-enhanced navigation, over-the-air updates, complete smartphone connectivity, and optional features like a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Ford Telematics, and Ford Data Services.
Ford also prioritized safety by making features like blind-spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, speed limit sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera standard equipment. The E-Transit is functional as a van since it has up to 487.3 cubic feet of room behind the seats.

Engine
The present generation of the Ford Transit is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which may be had in either inherently aspirated or turbocharged forms. The standard engine generates 275 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, but the optional Twin-Turbo engine raises those numbers to 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The E-266 Transit’s horsepower falls short of both gas engines, but its 317 lb-ft of torque is about in the middle. In addition, keep in mind that this torque is instantaneously available. Ford claims the E-67.0 Transit’s kWh battery pack will get you up to 126 kilometers on a single charge. Charging the group using either standard household current (AC) or a DC rapid charging station is possible. Ford will offer both a portable charger for use in the home and a more robust charging station that can be permanently installed in a buyer’s garage for their E-Transit. If not, there are public charging stations where drivers can refuel.

New Ford E-Transit Cargo Van Release Date and Price
The base model Ford E-Transit XL costs $45,790, while the top-of-the-line XLT begins at $48,300. The price goes up to $46,920 for a medium roof and $48,365 for a high ceiling. The XL and the XLT trim levels require the high roof option for the extra-long body, increasing the starting prices to $50,285 and $52,780, respectively. The EcoBoost V6 will set you back an additional $1,775 over the cost of the standard XL. When you buy a Ford Transit, you’ll have to fork over a hefty destination charge of $1,695. The 2024 Ford E-Transit is scheduled to debut in the summer of that year in the United States.
